This integration allows you to connect and pull data from Airtable into your data notebooks.
In this guide:
To connect Airtable with your data notebooks you need to have the following:
- Airtable account with the appropriate permissions for your bases, and generated API key
- Intersect account and owner access level
Connecting your Airtable
You can add your Airtable integration from the Dashboard > Integrations > Add integrations > Add Airtable section.
One-click on the Airtable box and the connection portal will open. These are the fields that are required for the connection to be successful:
- Integration name
- API Key
To get your API key, follow the official documentation by Airtable.
You can then proceed to fill the connection portal in Intersect. If the connection is successful, you should be able to see your new Shopify integration on your Integrations page.
Pull data from Airtable
After you configure your Airtable integration, you can import your spreadsheet data into your notebook. To do that, click Import data > Databases > Read from Airtable (Add).
Once you select the integration, a new “Read from Airtable” step will be added to your data notebook.
To successfully pull data you will need to:
1. Select the Airtable account that you've previously connected (in our case it’s called: My Airtable).
2. Add the base ID
Bases in Airtable are like workbooks in a traditional spreadsheet and can contain multiple tables of content. To obtain the ID of your Airtable base, open the Airtable Standard API page and click on the Airtable base that you want to use. This will open the API page of the base.
3. Add the table name from that base ID
If the step is successfully configured you will see an output with your sourced data.
If you wish to preview the table you can expand the Output step, which will preview the table that you defined under the table name.
